Nikon has finally developed a model that would surely catch the attention of the public. It is Nikon S630. It also has different modes suited for almost every situation the user faces.
This camera has an astonishing 12.0 Megapixel sensor, with a 2.7 inch LCD monitor, a nominal ISO range sensitivity of 64 – 6400, and an optical Vibration Reduction (VR), plus a 7X optical zoom lens with a flexible focal range.

It has a built in memory of approximately 44MB. Memory space can be enlarged by using SD memory cards or SDHC memory cards since these types of storage media are compatible with Nikon S630. It has a rechargeable Li-ion Battery EN-EL12 that could last up to 220 shots. That’s quite a number.
Nikon CoolPix S630 can automatically detect faces as many as 12 faces in a single shot. It also has a feature called Face Priority which helps produce magnificent portraits by adjusting focus and exposure. You can also use the Smile Mode. When this mode is activated, S630 automatically releases the shutter when the subject smiles. It also offers a new Blink Proof function, as the name states, prevents saving images that the subject is closing his eyes. This new Blink Proof function automatically shoots two sequential frames and saves the one in which the subject’s eyes are open-wide. It also offers an In-Camera Red-Eye fixing mechanism where it automatically corrects perceived red-eye before saving the image in its memory. S630 also has a Motion Detection system that automatically detects moving objects and thus adjusts shutter speed and ISO setting to adjust to the movements made by the user. It also has Nikon’s original Best Shot Selector (BSS) that automatically takes 10 consecutive shots while the shutter button is pressed and then saves the sharpest image taken.
